THE CHOICE OF A POSSIBLE EXTENSION OF THE ASH POND BASED ON VUDGET CULCULATION

Abstract
To date, ash and slag heaps in many power plants are overcrowded. The use of ash-and-slag wastes in the national economy is very limited and does not exceed 5-10% of the total amount, therefore the urgency of the problem of storage and utilization of the increasing amount of ash storage facilities will constantly increase. Usually, two options are considered for expanding the ash dumps: the further build-up of the existing dams or the construction of a new dam.
The article presents the economic justification for the choice of a possible option for expanding the ash dump, carried out based on the estimated calculation performed in the SmetaWIZARD program.
