Abstract
Possibilities of the auricle modeling in the process of cranium-based anthropological face reconstruction, depending on the shape, direction and relief intensity of the mastoid process of the temporal bone, are discussed in the article. This is one of the most complicated and understudied moments in the process of in vivo recovery of human form. Laboratory tests were conducted by the author on modern anatomical material. On the basis of the results obtained, it is possible to achieve sufficient accuracy in modeling the auricles in the process of human appearance restoration, reproducing not only the size but also the general outline of basic relief forms.
