Abstract
As per IUCN Water Hyacinth (Eichhornia crasspies) is one amongst the a hundred most aggressive quickest growing free floating macrophyte plant species. It is tropical plant originally found in Amazon basin of South America, and currently appears in the all parts of world. It reached in Asian country in 1902, and aboundantly found in Indian continental countries and South East Asia as a result of favourable conditions. Its name Eichhorn commomerte a well known politician J.A.F. Eichhorn of Prussia in nineteenth century. Even though this plant has been recognised as a prime ten worst weed by IUCN, it is a pleasant in look and referred to as queen flower as a result of its nice decorative pettals.
