Abstract
ABSTRACT In this paper, the fluctuating flow of an incompressible viscous, conducting fluid through a porous medium bounded by a porous plate, subjected to time dependent suction velocity, is considered, with the neglect of the viscous dissipation and the electrical fields. Expressions for the velocity and magnetic fields, the amplitude and phase leads are obtained by solving the basic equations and their variation with parameters such as Magnetic force number (S), the permeability parameter (K), the suction velocity (A), the frequency of fluctuations (n) and the phase lead tan ?? ? , are discussed with the aid of graphical illustrations. Keywords: Porous medium, Suction velocity, Viscous dissipation, Amplitude, Phase lead, Magnetic force Number, Permeability parameter, Frequency of fluctuation.
