Abstract
Development of professional sport, training of athletes for participation in the Olympic Games, and also health support of younger generation became the priority direction in national policy. Since 1896 the GrecoRoman wrestling is included into the program of the Olympic Games. Training of athletes for competitions has to include physical, technical, tactical and psychological training. By psychological training it is necessary to consider emotional and volitive peculiarities of athletes. Article deals with the features of the emotional and volitive sphere of the personality of young fighters of the Greek-Roman style
