Labor force and the data about it hold significance in terms of assessing the current state of a particular region and the changes it has been undergoing. As a main problem faced in the developing regions, unemployment must be tackled to ensure economic growth and regional development. This study is a case analysis. It explains the basic concepts of labor force market, examines the current state of the labor force market in the city of Elazig based on the data provided by TURKSTAT (Turkish Statistical Institute), and provides an overall evaluation.
