Abstract
The article contains a comparative statistical analysis of the national debt of Russia and Germany. The size of the national debt of countries in their gross domestic product is determined. The article considers the importance of national debt in the country's economy and compares the main indicators of development of Russia and Germany in relation to the size of national debt of these countries.
