Distribution Iris hungarica Waldst. & Kit. (Iridaceae Juss) in Chernivtsi Region

Abstract
The results of the study of special features of distribution of rare species Iris hungarica Waldst. & Kit, which inserted in Annex IIb Directive EU 92/43 / EEC on the conservation of natural habitats and species of natural fauna and flora (1992), in Annex I to the Convention for the Protection of wild fauna and flora and natural habitats in Europe (Bern Convention) are given. It is ascertained that in Chernivtsi region I. hungarica reliably known from 45 localities and 17 locations are likely to be lost, of which 12 are for herbarium collection of 30–50 years of the twentieth century, and 5 – according to the literature data.
The map of distribution is compound and representation of species populations in protected areas of Chernivtsi region is found out.
