Abstract
In this article, three groups of the methods promoting development of research skills are considered. The short description of each method and its practical application in the course of training is given. These methods are based on unity of personal, task-oriented and activity approaches. The author emphasizes that under the current conditions of language education there is a number of difficulties connected with cross-cultural communication. Overcoming abovementioned difficulties is made through creation of integrative educational model uniting the modern technologies of teaching foreign languages and cross-cultural communication. In the article, it is shown that to form research skills it is necessary to take into account a considerable variety of necessary skills, and in this regard implementing integration of different scientific approaches and views. Development of research skills through the various methods will promote professional growth.
