Abstract

The article is devoted to a review of the situation that has developed on the Russian life insurance market by the end of 2015. The distribution of life insurance premiums and payments by companies as well as by federal districts in absolute terms and per capita was investigated. In addition, the paper considers the main types of life insurance contracts and there is a comparative analysis of the essence and differences between the bank deposit and the endowment life insurance agreement.
