This article briefly clears up the contents of the biological theory of S.M. Shrokohorova and A. Bilynskyi. It describes their opinions and views on the formation of ethnic groups. The above sequence of formation of various ethnic communities and their peculiarities. The information about spreading and interpretation of the word "nation" in various countries was presented. The differences in terms of "nation" and "people" were shown. Basic features of a nation were mentioned.
