THE EFFECT OF EXTRACT OF GARCINIA ON BODY WEIGHT OF RATS OF DIFFERENT AGE AFTER A LONG PERIOD OF EXCESSIVE CONSUMPTION OF PALM OIL

Abstract
The inclusion of palm oil in the diet at 30 mg/kg for 6 weeks leads to degree II-III alimentary obesity. The maximum increase of body weight (2.2 time) was recorded in the group of immature animals. Ceasing of palm oil consumption by animals of all ages did not lead to weight loss. Moreover, in the next 5 weeks of monitoring immature animals with standard diet gained 30.84 %. Using Garcinia cambogia for alimentary obesity correction has shown high efficiency in rats of all studied ontogenesis periods. By day 35 of ongoing pharmaceutical herbal correction, body weight of experimental group rats approximate to the results reported in the intact animal groups.
