Optimum ordering interval considering random deterioration rate with exponential demand and shortages

Obtaining item, taking exponential demand allowing shortages. The deterioration in taken as time dependent random function. The production rate is infinite and shortage are allowed. Approximate expression are obtained for optimum orded quantity, minimum average cost. The model is solved by minimizing the mean average cost.
