Abstract
In this article the hero's image (men's image) in the Vietnamese literature on the example of fairy tales is considered. The purpose of this research work is to define importance of the role, which men's image play in folklore of Vietnam, to study literary means of the description of appearance, character, social status of the hero through comparison with men's images in the Russian fairy tales. The relevance of this subject is based on its insufficient study as the domestic Vietnam studies paid bigger attention to the research of woman's images in the Vietnamese fairy tales.
