Abstract
The article presents a theoretical study and synthesis of scientific and methodological principles designed to study and improves competitiveness assessment procedures, including the agricultural sector of Ukraine in the markets of China. The existing basic scientific approaches to the definition of the term "competitiveness". It is noted that in general, the ability of enterprises to adapt to environmental conditions and effectively operate in conditions of risk and uncertainty called competitive enterprise. So important is to determine the nature of this category, the feasibility of its application in relation to the characteristics of enterprises that operate within the food complex of Ukraine and to identify factors affecting the competitiveness of Ukrainian enterprises related to different types of agricultural production in the China market.
