Abstract

The inexplicable by now mechanism of earthquakes, rock shocks and sudden outbursts of rocks and gases in mines forces scientists around the world again and again to review the accumulated practical experience of studying these formidable phenomena in search of solutions related to their forecasting and prevention. Years go by, the number of natural disasters victims grows, and there are no answers to the questions put, unfortunately, as there were no answers before. A dead end emerged, from which there is no way out, and the study of gas-dynamic phenomena in the rock massif turned into walking along an enchanted circle. It became quite obvious that in the process of studying this mine phenomenon, researchers made a strategic mistake, both in the practice of studying the process and in its theoretical explanation, and as a consequence, the researchers went along the wrong path explaining the whole process of earthquakes, rock shocks and sudden outbursts. A false path leading to nowhere. At the moment, the main task of researchers is to abandon the established false stereotypes of understanding and studying the processes that lead to a dramatic change in the state of the rock massif. It is precisely in the rejection of false theories and the adoption of new approaches and ideas on the of gas dynamic phenomena origin in the rock massif that a pledge of future success is seen. There is a hope that the answer to the challenge of nature will be the hypothesis of the rock massif deformation explosion.
