Abstract
Objective – In particular, this study focuses on exploring characteristics of individuals or personality that correlate with the tendency to perform recycling behaviour among the university students using Theory of Planned behaviour. Methodology/Technique – Since behavioral changes are one of the determinant to ensure the achievements of recycling programs, this paper intend to study on variables that could improve individual involvement on pro-environmental behavior. Findings - However, results shown that the overall recycling rate in the country is still low compared to other poor countries such as India. Novelty – Recycling has grown in interest, both in the past and present as there were many studies focusing on this. Over the decades, the Malaysian Government has been struggling to increase the recycling rate in the country through campaigns and advertisements and providing recycling facilities in public.
