Abstract
This article defines the importance of images from the world of art in the heritage of French portraitist Riesener. It reveals the general characteristic of the artist's heritage, which includes portraits of leading historical figures of the epoch in France and Russia. It shows the close relationship of Riesener with his teacher J.-L. David and Comedie Francaise theatre actors as well as with the other singers and composers. The typology of
actors' portraits is deeply analyzed. The author of the article has selected the images of the actors Alexandre.M.A.Damas and Francois Joseph Talma at the moment of their theatrical action. The article describes the most important stages of the creative life of the actors. "M.A Desaugiers Chansonnier Portrait" is an example of the deep elicitation of the image. The author has selected portraits of people who proved faith in beauty and dignity of man in the hard time of the end of XVIII-XIX centuries.
