Abstract
As industrialization, as well as use of dyes and intermediates is erecting benchmarks on a high pace, it is dramatically necessary to align safe and environment friendly technologies for treatment of colored effluents containing recalcitrant organic pollutants. Present work focuses on efficiency of O3/UV/PS process for treatment of three different model pollutants i.e.RB5, RR120 and RY145.Influence of various operating parameters such as ozone flowrate, initial pH, TOC:PS dosage, UV intensity, and flow rate of liquid has also been incorporated. Results so obtained during present study shows that efficiency of process is highly influenced by its operating parameters.
