Abstract
The theme “Hydrogen nitrate interaction with metals” is one of the most difficult due to the school Chemistry course. The schoolboy main problem concerns the selection of the most probable reaction products. This complex problem is described in the pupil-books superficially, due to the level of the simple law learning. The detailed and systematized material in fact on this theme and the reaction mechanism are considered in this article. The general law of the hydrogen nitrate reduction by metals is formulated on this base, and the tables to determinate the most probable products of these processes are represented. This article is very useful for pupils and students, and for lectures and young people, it may be used to systematize knowledge due to this theme during the deep Chemistry studying process and to prepare for the examinations.
