Abstract

The correlation between notions from different areas is the system which influences Xenakis' creative method and connected with idea. Translation, association, conceptualization and interpretation of architecture and music spheres are connected with conscious and unconscious transferring nature of physical world into idea as well as with correlating abstract notions. This explains art as an image thinking process in general. One can observe the changes of these concepts, that is why this issue can be considered as a system of correlation between philosophy, historical succession and transformation of views and as thinking evolution. Taking into account the Xenakis' example one can interpret non-material analogues of architecture and music correlation and combine them into a single system, “mosaic of coherences”, which defines the specific method of his work.
