Abstract
In this work, the barium titanate (BaTiO3) nanoparticles were prepared by combination of sol-gel and hydrothermal processes, and encapsulated BaTiO3 into polypropylene (PP) matrix to fabricate the BaTiO3/PP nanocomposites by the melt mixing process. The structural, morphological and thermal properties were characterized by using various analytical techniques such as transmission electron microscopy (TEM), scanning electron microscopy (SEM), thermogravimetric analysis (TGA) and differential scanning calorimetry (DSC), respectively. It was found that thermal conducting properties of PP were significantly improved with the increase in the content of BaTiO3.
