Abstract
Abstract : Rhinosporidiosis is a chronic granulomatous disease caused by Rhinosporidium seeberi, most commonly affecting the nose and nasopharynx. Cutaneous rhinosporidiosis is a rare occurrence secondary to dissemination from nasal rhinosporidiosis. We present a 50 year old immunocompetent male with cutaneous rhinosporidiosis which is chronic and recurrent. There was a long interval of more than 25 years between primary nasal rhinosporidiosis and secondary cutaneous lesions. KOH examination demonstrated sporangia with endospores and histopathology confirmed the same. Surgical excision with electro cauterisation of the base of the lesion was done and patient is on oral dapsone.
