Abstract
The essay elaborates the motive forces of the critical architectural project through a distinction between theoretical and practical approaches. In fact, the central figure of this attempt to philosophically justify architecture as a brain” would be Peter Eisenman, while his lecture series and writings on the opposition —“project versus practice” become a base for the author's personal reflections on the significance of the conceptual architecture as such.
