Abstract
This article analyzes the role, trends and factors of developing paint and varnish production. The modern problems and prospects of the strategic development of paint sector in Ukraine are investigated. It was concluded that it is necessary to combine traditional and innovative strategies and the importance of the ecological imperative to increase the competitiveness of domestic paint and varnish production.
