Abstract
South-Eastern Anatolia (Upper Mesopotamia); as a center of attraction and cultural treasure, used to be a region where dominions are established and various nations are existed in, since from the early periods of history. Sumerians, Akkadians, Babylonians, Assyrians, Hittites, Medes, Persians, Parthians, Romans and Byzantines ruled in the mentioned geography. Sasanians; as the last empire in Iran did not ignore the region either. Sasani and Byzantine struggled to capture the wealth of south-eastern Anatolia, and tried to spread their culture also faith in the region. They strived for reaching fertile lands like Syria and Egypt; hence, they clashed with Romans and Byzantines and so did not give up making wars.
