Ukraine in the system of european and eurasian integration processes

The author considers principles of creating intercountry integration unions and performs analysis of alternative benefits of western and Eurasian vectors for Ukraine’s integration. The author proves that irrespective of the impact of territorial fac tor, the economic and civilizational factors are instrumental in establishing integration unions. The paper grounds advantages of the European vector of integration for Ukraine.
