Determination of Forces Interaction Degree in Agglomeration Process in Russian Regions

This paper deals with factors of economic activity concentration in regions. A method of determining the degree of tension between the centrifugal and centripetal forces in the agglomeration process of the regional economy is suggested. The methodology was tested in 83 regions of Russia, including the following groups: regions bordering with the former Soviet countries, with other countries, regions with maritime boundary, internal regions.
