Abstract
Several possible mechanical arrangements for the main simple or open cycle of gas turbines are considered in the article. The simplest configuration of a gas turbine is shown. Schemes of various industrial gas turbines are given. The scheme of the converted aircraft engine, which additionally has gas generators and power turbines, is given. The HS-diagram of the gas-turbine cycle with cooling between the compressor stages is presented.
