Abstract
Abstract. A research descriptive study has done about identification of misconceptions based prerequisite knowledge on learning materials chemical bonds. This study aims to determine the misconceptions caused prerequisite material relationship with the chemical bonds material on the class X SMA Negeri 1 Sungai Tabuk. This study used a method quantitative-qualitative with research design the form of descriptive survey study. The research sample is determined by simple random sampling (SRS) technique with population class X students as many as 204 students and samples taken as many as 62 students. Instrument using a two tier multiple choice diagnostic. Technique analyze data use descriptive statistics on the percentage. The results showed that happened a misconception based on relationships the knowledge of prerequisite and knowledge of chemical bonds in the chemical bond materials, involve defining concepts of atomic theory, properties of elements in the periodic table of elements, the stability of the element, electron configuration, and structure lewis.
