On the issue of choosing a strategy for innovative transformation in the coal industry

The results of the analysis of the state of the Ukrainian coal industry in the context of the problems of the development of deposits in the old industrial basins of Europe and ways to solve them in accordance with the trends in the development of the national economy and planetary ecology are given. Alternatives and mechanisms of economically expedient directions of strategic transformations in the coal industry based on technologies of conversion of coal into products with high added value, mastered in industry, are considered.
