Abstract
This article is devoted to the study of the teacher's role in technology projects at the lessons of a foreign language. The teacher's activities are determined at each stage of work at the project. The difficulties the teacher faces when working with project based learning are stated. The analysis of the student's book Spotlight for the fifth grade was carried out. Some interesting and valuable projects for the children of this age have been revealed. The project «Postcard» was considered in more detail. The forms of implementation of this project were also suggested. The materials of some lessons, on which the creative work is based on, were specified. The work with projects at the lessons of a foreign language as a joint activity of the pupils and the teacher is shown
