Abstract
ABSTRACT Medical images are prone to noise because of many aspects such as tissue nature, body fluids, machine used. Noises degrades the image quality. Noises are multiplicative or additive or both. Thus De-noising place a major role in improving the image quality and their by helping the radiologists in giving correct report of the findings. Here a comparative study is made between designed Hybrid filtering technique with Median, Adaptive Neighbourhood Wiener (ANW) and Non Local Means (NLM) filtering technique. Hybrid filter is developed by combining Median filter and ANW filter. Peak Signal to Noise Ratio (PSNR) and Computation complexity is measured. Results show that Hybrid Filtering technique takes better Peak Signal to Noise Ratio and Computational Complexity is less.
