Abstract
Technologies are getting closer in the sense that they invade our privacy, accumulating all kinds of data on a scale that we are still trying to understand. To study these changes, we can rely on the theory of the process of mediation P. Verbeek. Technology influence our perceptual and practical relationship to the world. Technological mediation shows how high technology is often implicitly helping to shape human action through the establishment of relations between the user and his environment. The basic idea of mediation theory P. Verbeek, is that a technology should be understood not only functional tools, but also active mediators in the relationship. Technology can be used in unexpected ways, and therefore can play an unexpected role of mediator. For example, to such displays of technological mediation include persuasive technology. First of all, technology can make people behave in a certain way. According to the interpretation Verbeek, mediating role of technology blurs the ontological distinction between 'subject' and 'object'.
