Abstract
In the article the concept of game is examined in connection with unraveling of cross-words. Actuality of the use of cross-words is analysed at school and Vocabulary" is offered at the study of division " in the system of philological education (on the lessons of Russian and on optional employments at initial and middle school; in a student audience on the philological faculty of pedagogical institution of higher learning) to use tasks from humorous cross-words, pluggings in the structure омонимичные words, assisting not only development of creative individuality of students but also removal of tiredness and tension. It becomes firmly established that using of cross-words for educating of students in a class can become one of very interesting receptions of the developing educating.
