THE INFLUENCE OF CHRISTIANITY ON THE DEVELOPMENT OF SOCIAL WORK IN RUSSIA

The Christianization of the Russian people is reflected in the nature, forms assistance and support to the person it is associated with the development of the mercy and charity of the Russian people. Over the years of its existence, the Russian Orthodox Church has extensive experience of charity, which today is actively reviving. A Church practicing such forms of philanthropy as: orphanages, committees on charity beggars and the poor, nursing home, rooming house. Also the Church helps financially needy.
