Abstract
The article is devoted to V. N. Shitov settlements of the stone age and the bronze age in Mordovia. They carried out extensive exploration work in Primocane. More than ten barrows carcass culture was excavated in Posure. Massive bronze age material was obtained during the excavation of burial ground Shokshian. Collected materials were summarized in the monograph "Archaeology of the Mordovian land".
