Abstract
The article described the market of household services as a necessary element of socio-economic structure of the city. In the article the features of socio-economic interests of consumers and service providers in the market of household services in modern Russia. Having considered the theoretical and methodological aspects of the functioning of the market of household services of a large city, the author concluded that for residents of inner city consumer behavior is natural and largely determining their adaptation to the urban lifestyle. Therefore, the way of life of the townspeople can be seen as a manifestation of consumer behavior, and, accordingly, to structure the city's population by types of their way of life
