THE HISTORY OF SPORTS TOURISM DEVELOPMENT IN RUSSIA AND ABROAD

The article discusses the history of sports tourism development in Russia and abroad. Separately marked the stages of development of sports tourism abroad. Stage I - the elite tourism. The origin of enterprises specialized in the production of tourist services). Stage II - the beginning of the formation of social tourism. Stage III - mass tourism development. In tsarist Russia tourism as a social phenomenon has not received due development. During the Great Patriotic War, was introduced universal military training, who actively use tourism as a means of exercise of military-applied physical preparation. The development of tourism in the USSR were constantly subordinated to the interests of the country. Tourism contributed to the implementation of important social and political functions at all stages of development of the Soviet state. In modern Russian sports tourism it is an independent view and actively developed.
