FROM POPULISTS TO SRS

Тhe Ideology of populism was formed on the ideas of special non-capitalist way of development of Russia. Peasant experience of community self-government formed the basis of the revolutionary views of A. I. Herzen, N. G. Chernyshevsky, activities of populist groups and organizations. Different directions of the populists, the differences in the tactics of struggle, saw their goal in building a society of free peasant communities. The idea of populism as a political movement, remained in the socialist revolutionary party, which has applied the same methods of the revolutionary struggle.
