Abstract
In the conditions of actively developing business faces an acute problem of monopolization of separate kinds of economic activities. To prevent such incidents by the regulator of relations in the market and the opposite of monopoly is competition. The aim of this research work is identifying the role of competition in preventing the formation of monopolies in economic activities. The article also describes the danger of monopolies and types of competition used by business entities.
