EVALUATION OF THE EFFICIENCY OF THE CITY TRANSPORT SYSTEM

This article touches on one of the most important problems in the transport sphere - the problem of assessing the efficiency of the city's transport system. The transport system is an integral part of the functioning and existence of the city as a whole, so many processes that take place within the city depend on its state. Performing a number of economic, social, rescue, labor and urban functions, the city transport system solves the main task for it - satisfies the needs for the movement of goods and passengers around the city. Like any system, the transport system requires a qualitative and quantitative assessment. However, there is no unequivocal opinion among scientists on the issue of the effectiveness of the transport system. That is why further research is needed on this issue. This paper describes the problems of the chosen topic, its relevance and novelty. The analysis of the existing state of work on the chosen subject has been carried out and the necessity of studying the chosen topic is justified. The possibility of practical use of the results of this work is described.
