Abstract
The article discusses the features of ethnic and demographic development of the Permian Komi district of the Perm region. Analysis of demographic indicators of the Komi-Perm relative to the population of Russia and the Perm region allowed to identify a number of negative trends, which include: the impact of assimilation, urbanization, and negative dynamics of population growth.
