Abstract

The subject of this research is a painted relief from Knossos, discovered by Arthur Evans, and named it conventionally "King - priest". This artifact has been identified as the oldest image of Apollo -Ill. By matching attributes belonging to Apollo on this mural, it has been possible to show the identity of the image of Apollo and Krishna. Without any doubt , the description of Krishna from the Indian written sources coincides with the relief from Knossos, but nevertheless, there are attributes that belong to Cretan-Mycenaean culture. This article with certainty proves a huge similarity, even the identity of all Indo-European cultures of the bronze age from Scandinavia and Eurasia to India . The image analysis proves that the culture and religion of Minoan Crete in the sixteenth century BC was Indo-European.
