Analysis of State Policy Effectiveness in Combatting Crimes

Criminality has been of one of the important issues throughout Russian history. Our country has had to go through many domestic changes, upheavals, economic crises and wars. This has inevitably resulted in a big number of crimes and the ability of the state to curb them. In writing this article we analyzed the statistics on the crime rate in Russia from 2004 to 2014 by using the data posted on the site of the Ministry of Internal affairs. We formulated our conclusions re. effectiveness of the state policy in order make a forecast for 2015. We used the Microsoft Office Excel program and data analysis/search for solution package and the following statistical methods: probability calculations for hyper geometrical and binominal distribution, correlational analysis, regression analysis, mathematical expectation, dispersion, standard deviation, frequency method , hypothesis testing algorithm, confidence interval calculation, minimal sample size determination algorithm for targeted confidence intervals.
