Abstract
Usage of non-conventional material in construction industry is innovative and has high positive effect. In reducing construction costs as well in providing eco-respective environment. Especially this non-conventional material is used in replacement of small specific amounts of cement in the aspect of improving strength. The materials used in the study are Hypo sludge and fibrous matter- jute and glass fibers. Hypo sludge is a large amount of by-product from paper industry. It contains minimum amount of silica and magnesium due to which it possesses properties of cement. Concrete's poor characters is i.e., weak in tensile strength and low resistance to cracking, is achieved using mixing natural and artificial fibrous materials in concrete. The study is aimed to improve tensile strength and crack resistance to M30 grade concrete.
