Abstract
The article contains materials on the participation of Kazan scientists and archaeologists A.Kh. Khalikov, E.A. Khalikova, P.N. Starostin, R.S. Gabyashev, T.A. Khlebnikova, E.P. Kazakov and other specialists in the surveying and stationary activities of Mari Archaeological Expedition, as well as in the research and systematization of field material obtained by the expedition. The activity of Mari Archaeological Expedition began in 1956 and continues until the present day. Thus, as noted by the author, many Kazan archaeologists participated in the training of expedition specialists, and individual Kazan researchers, on the contrary, were educated by Mаri Archaeological Expedition. All aforesaid researchers made a certain contribution into the study of the ancient ad medieval history of Mari Land.
