Abstract
This research paper deals about the study of Human Hair fiber for stabilization of soil sample. Soil reinforcement technique have been successfully used in present times to improve the shear strength parameters of the weak soils. Human hair fiber is a natural nonbiodegradable waste material, which creates health and environmental problem. Physical properties of soil like Atterberg's limits, compaction characteristics and strength characteristics of virgin soil sample were determined. The soil sample were treated with different percentages of Human Hair fiber (0.5%, 0.7%, 0.9%, 1.2% and 1.5%). The strength of the soil sample increased up to 1.2% for soil sample and then it decreased. This paper clears that the usage of Human hair fiber gives high strength for expansive clay.
