Abstract
In this review on admixing CNTs with cement composites, it was reported that (i) surface treated CNTs improved interaction due to chemical bonding; hindered agglomeration but hampered hydration process. (ii) surface untreated CNTs showed good interaction increasing denser composites with higher strength and reduced porosity of mesopores. Effective ultrasonication in aqueous medium of dispersion was better than powder medium. (iii) addition of surfactants as a pre-dispersing agent improved strength; and necessitated modification in surfactant weight ratio. Addition of surfactants required higher duration of ultrasonication. (iv) addition of admixtures improved compressive strength and porosity
