Abstract
In the article analyzed is the history and current research state of book culture in Ukraine. Defined is the scope of the necessary sources for research and the meaning of key terms, which are crucial in this publication. The research outlines a range of issues related to the research of book culture in Ukraine. These issues currently require extensive fundamental research. The article also gives research methods for the defined problems
